TEHRAN – A Spanish version of the 12th century Persian literary work “Secrets of God’s Mystical Oneness” (“Asrar al-Tawhid”) on the Persian mystic and poet Abu Sa‘id ibn Abul-Khayr (967-1049 CE) was on display at the Madrid Book Fair 2017, which came to an end on Sunday.

Written by Muhammad ibn Monavvar, one of Abul-Khayr’s grandsons, 130 years after his death, the book is considered a landmark work of Sufi literature as well as Abul-Khayr’s biography.

Translated into Spanish by scholar Joaquin Rodriguez Vargas, the book was published by Mandala Publications in collaboration with Iran’s Cultural Office in Spain in 2015.

The book was one of the winners in the international section of the 24th edition of Iran’s Book of the Year Awards last February.
